No Lou it's not, mine was a 40 with Americans. Then after I sold it to Total Perf. they put Cragars on it and I put the Americans on my cousins 34 Ford 5W.

I believe what yer trying to say is Beazer, Bob Beazer, the Native American who would do a "Anti Rain Dance" before the Gasser event we held here in Buffalo, N.Y. and other events elsewhere I'm told?

My mate Bob is actually a Canadian "Indian" and has been doing the anti rain dance since the 1960's. You can read more about him here: http://www.lugnutsmagazine.com/blog...ve-at-the-elta-bash-the-stories-of-bob-beazer

Mick that is one nice car. A steel 40 Deluxe with operating hood latch and original hood holder open. One thing that always gets me is that broom stick holding the hood open. There is no need for it.

Hi Pat, I believe 1937 is the only year that Willys had actual hood hinges [in the firewall].
With the blower scoop in the way, any ideas on a hood hinge that would be period correct for say 1968?
The shock type is too modern, Hood prop blue coupe.jpg Hood prop.jpg Hood props.jpg Hood rod.jpg no?
Here's a blue coupe that has a rod that sits on top of the scoop itself, a yellow W that has more modern
props, my buddy's 42 Ford with a "stick" and a rod I welded up for mine.
    Open for suggestions, thanks,
    Mick

  22. Mick, You are correct only the '37's had the dual outside hinges...all later vehicles had the plano style up through 1942.
By the way if anyone out there is starting their coupe project with a '37 body, here's the piece you might be interested in...its the piano hinge section from a later car body that we parted out. If you are good at grafting in sheet metal, then this would give you the opportunity to use the '38-'42 style hoods with the piano hinge. For the blower crowd the yellow coupe looks to have a neat hood prop. g-willys IMG_20190321_100659014.jpg

I believe he's a local too [Bakersfield], the first time I saw the car was in 1996.
He still attends the March Meet, dig the interior,
