Still at the Petersen in 2019. Some may not know why these '52 parade cars look like '56es;
Chrysler recalled all three of them in '56 to re-skin them with '56 sheet metal, so that they would look like current model Chryslers.

 

Sans door handles. Ain't that a Trip?

 

No door handles, no side windows, no top. These really were/are Parade cars! Very handsome, too.

This was a super deal that I was 15 minutes too late on . .still regret it to this day. I hope whoever ended up with it drives the wheels off it.
