I've had this 8x10 picture of Elby's Willys coupe at Fremont for decades.
Then somebody else sent me another shot of it, anybody recognize the car?

It may well be. Here is a short video of the restored car and a lot of features (wheels, rear fender lips etc match).

I guess some of you here knew [the late] Byron Stack from Gas F/X.
Born the same year as I, he sadly passed away in 2012.
He came to visit me in 2008, a big fella, I even got to squeeze him into my little pickup.
He won't soon be forgotten,

My son and I found in a garage in Colorado old lady had it. chopped car is not the same one

[ The car was changed so many time over the years been a street rod. been about 5 different paint jobs the floor has been redone twice.diffrent chassis. but its going back the same . change fire wall again. putting a steel 40 nose back on and its going back the way it was done in 50's red with white lettering

I used to go on Byrons Gasser Madness site all the time . It was great .

 

Shake down run yesterday, the car has been in the garage all of last year.
Drove to Clayton, went to Canesa's Deli for lunch then over to our friend Al's place.
He's got some really nice Fords.
No problems with the car, another good day,

Got to meet Byron a few time...loved his site, and yes he is missed!!! Thanks to him I have a shot of my daily driver
going down the quarter mile at Thompson years ago...have another picture of this from the stands that show Byron taking this shot (will look for it) g-willys

 

Here's a look-alike coupe that Greg G. and Al Tschida put together just a few years before Al passed away.
