Just curious what engine everyone has and what oil weight and type of oil you are running?

I'd run the Valvoline VR1 if I could get it. The Govt. took it away from us in good ol CA. a little over a year ago. I see the silver bottle once in a while, but not enough regularity to use it consistently.
Next best bet, Mobile 1, 15-50. Cars and bikes.

I like Brad Penn, Castrol is a really good oil for a roller motor. I ran it in the race car, 10W30 full syn, never had a problem and I ran alky injection.

Not correct, twice in the last month I have bought VR-1. Not much in stock, so I always buy at least 2 gallons just in case. They also had some quart bottles

Back when my 350 was leaking about a half quart a week, I put in the cheapest stuff I could find. Finally tore it down, and it actually wasn't worn that much inside. I was shocked to say the least!

Motorcraft semi-synthetic 5-20 in my Y-Block with 1/2 bottle of Lucas ZDDP. The engine specs call for 20-20W but since it was hard to find I used 10-30. Wanting to keep all oil passages clean and flowing I recently started to 5-20. I change once a year which is right at 2000 miles. I use a Wix 51515 filter at each change. It drips a little but uses no oil I can detect.

I talked to the guys from Marvel Mystery Oil last weekend at TROG Santa Barbra and they have some really good looking stuff coming out soon for vintage engines with flat tappet cams.
