Sorry to hear this. I never had a brother, nor any male that was close to me, still don’t.

    Please accept my condolences.

I can relate. My older brother and best friend died 12 years ago. I think about and miss him every day. Hang on to the good memories and enjoy the smiles they bring, that really helps.

Grumpy, I don't mean this to be calous or uncaring. You are a very lucky man. I was an only child and wished for an older brother that never was. I would hang around older guys in the neighborhood to try and pick up knowledge from them. You had an in house mentor to learn from and share with. We come into this world and leave it, those two happenings can't be changed. But, you have a life full of wonderful memories to look back on with a real live brother. Death is but a moment, memories are with you forever and renewable with your brother beyond this world. My condolences for you tremendous loss. And, my congratulations for being able to have such a great brother for all those years. Share your life with him to everyone so that they can enjoy him too. May God bless you?

I am truly sorry for the loss of your brother and wish the best for you and your family. I admire and am somewhat jealous of the great relationship you had with him. I expect you and I are close ln age (71). I have 3 younger brothers 70,56,55. Do not have any relationship with them and rarely see them. Growing up in the 50’s and 60’s with my 70 yr. brother was on again off again. We shared love of cars for a short while. I was Drafted in 1966, returned from Vietnam in 1968,very aloof for 50yrs.,but still love hot rods and enjoy The Hamd. Again, sorry for your loss of your brother and may you keep those wonderful memories.

Sorry for loss and having a mentor, father, family member or close friend is someone we will remember for ever and their loss is something we never take with a light heart.

I too had an older brother, mentor and idol that contributed a great deal to my life. I lost him 54 years ago but I remember him daily with a small personal thought. You and I and all the others who had this experience are much richer for the relationships we had.
