Hey fellas, I know a lot of you have already heard about the trouble Steve is having. If you aren't up to speed, click here.

Steve is not only someone I respect a great deal, but he is also a pal of mine. He's done so much for the hot rod world... He and his family need us right now, so lets see what we can do to make life a little easier for them, shall we? A few options:

    1. Hendrickson Family and Friends Potluck
    When:
    Saturday July 22nd at noon
Where: Oakey Park in Osceola, Wisconsin
What to bring: Bring a dish to pass. Beverages, plates, napkins, utensils will be provided. Alcohol is permitted and beer will be available for a small cash donation. All proceeds will go to the Hendricksons, so get stinking drunk fellas. I’m counting on ya!

    2. Donate through mail.
    Send dough to:
Steve Hendrickson and Family Benefit Fund The RiverBank
    2183 US Highway 8 East
    Box 747
    St. Croix Falls, WI. 54024

    3. Donate through PayPal.
Paypal a $1 or 2 to: [email protected]

    4. Win an Auction

    :)

I spoke with Steve a few times over the years and he was always a nice, down to earth type of fellow ...

here he is with his latest ...
I had wondered why there were no progress reports on his 3W ...
    Now I know ...

Too far away for me to go to the get-together but I will send a $$$ donation ...

I know what he is going through since i myself have been fighting Lymphona and bone cancer for 2 years and recently had a Stem Cell transplant. I do not have much to give now since i'm on disability still but i will send some through paypal and i urge all other to do so, even if it is not much in your eyes it will be in his. If it was not for good friends and family i'm not sure what i would have done.

Steve if you need to talk to someone who has been there please feel free to contact me.. Stay Positive and try to laugh as much as you can.. I know this sounds hard but it will help. God Bless

There will also be a silent auction of cool stuff at the picnic benifit. If anyone has an item to donate, ie: swag, car parts, striped panel, CD's or DVD, etc, and you'll be seeing me somewhere over the next 6 weeks, (BilletProof, Indy, HRR, Columbus, Syracuse, or locally) and would like me to transport it to the benifit to save on shipping costs, just let me know or throw it in Big Olds if you see him, with a note attached that it's for the "Just Steve" silent auction. I'll make sure it gets there safe and sound.

I'll be leaving the Metro Detroit area on the morning of Friday July 21st. If anyone else is planning on attending from this area, please PM me and we can make arrangments to travel together if you want.

I'll be there. It's an hour north of me, but not a problem for a cause like this. I'll have the wife cook something up and bring that too.

Denise -- too far to drive until I get the drivetrain coordinated. (That means "working".)
My PayPal was sent (thanks for giving us the option).

My copy of "Hot Rodders' Bible" is within a foot of my PC.
