  4. The car is an (English) Austin 12/4 from the mid 1920s. Location possibly Canberra, Australia.

    I remember this photo from an early Hot Rod, or maybe it was Rod & Custom, I believe the name of the business was Shell’s located in LA.
    Shell, whose first name might have been Louie, followed the buy low, sell high concept dealing in trades sometime too. I tried to Google it for more info but came up empty.

    Forget Google, after a trip to the basement archives I found it, Oct. 1952 Hot Rod magazine. Now that would have been a cool place to visit!

  16. Nope....it's about a 1916 REO. The outward curve at the top or the radiator shell is a giveaway.
