Spent a full day making the bathroom primed and all the plumbing useable.....was a nasty job but glad the nasty work is over.... just need to paint it and put the vintage medicine cabinet up.

  2. That toilet and sink will come in handy. I put one in my garage and it saves me trips to the house, well except for coffee.

Wow nice period perfect shop for me . I think I would of had a work detail for my Buds from the farm to White Wash the walls before I got started enjoying the space . Good Luck , and be safe , use your PPE while workin in the gift you have been given .

Thanks, i have no interest in painting the walls.... i like it the way it is. The walls went 70+ years without paint!!!!

  11. Only thing I see missing is some white paint to brighten up the walls. HRP

I think the shutters are enough white. Ya really gotta make a compromise somewhere between surgery center and garage you actually want to be in. I think the huge white shutters probably cast plenty of light.

Bet it feels like a totally different space with them open on a sunny day!

I set up a movie screen and projector.... used it as a theatre to play the movie Christine for a dozen car buddies this weekend. Was fun!!!

  15. I would think of hitting the block with Drylok to keep the inside of the shop drier in humid months. It might come in clear, I've always used the white.

It stays nice and dry inside. So that really isnt an issue. When i get cash ahead my main priority is to update the electrical. I also finally went up the hatch so see what is above.... a really cool tounge and groove ceiling with iron trusses 30+ inches above the current ceiling.... i would love to expose all that and add fans to counteract the heat rising. But would be a ton of work.... lots of rough cut timber dropping the current ceiling, probally enough to build s house!!

Finally drove all my cars up. Very nice to have everything either here or at the house (I live only a mile from the garage)

This weekend we removed the boarded up and sided opening and put in a piece of glass, added shutters to it as well as fixed and painted the other window frame and garage door.

Over the past 2 years. I have made a bunch of improvements. Most recently to the outside.

But have done a lot inside as well.
