I have 29 Ford Woody that I'm having trouble finding how to install the front splash apron (under the radiator shell) correctly. Not sure its relationship with the fenders, frame rails and the strips the cover the fenders and wrap over the top of the frame.

Any pictures, directions, or books that show this would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. This help? The tabs on the apron go under the top edge of the frame rail. The screws the go through the hood shelves screw into the apron tabs.

  3. i don't consider myself an expert , but i have done 6 28/29's and can say that splash apron can be a pain to fit. i suggest you get it all fitted BEFORE doing any paint work. this may be why you see a lot of 28/29 Fords without them, and that looks like crap in my opinion

memory says there are [4] 2" or so threaded spacers that space the shield flush with the inner edge of the framerails… they are between the fame rail and the gravel shield...
    .
I remember the in the weeds days,
A owners would mount a row of bent gravel shields along the garage wall... as badges of courage...
