Folks Of Interest Who has pictures of themselves as kids with old cars?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by rusty rocket, Mar 7, 2019.

  1. Here's me at 5 years old. A lot of memories looking through the welding helmet, the smell of welding, grinding, the radiator shop that it was built in.

I am looking for pictures of me as a kid... But I am finding my kids photos instead. Here are a couple of my 4 year old from the past year. One with the Lawn Mower getting a big Briggs and Stratton upgrade, and the other with a 1938 Plymouth truck at my house in Kansas.

Thank you! I got two of them there. One for my best friend to build together, and one for me.

There are two Magazine articles one in January 55 Hotrod Mag. another in November 56 Rod & Custom
he built three of them over the years , I have the last one built in 97 , Sadly I can't afford the required Insurance for it as they want astronomical Money for a policy because of 3 Axles and Air Brakes etc.

The little fella in back seat is me on family vacation. Mom said I was to tired from road trip to get out of car. Dad said the Chevy had a V8 with a three on the tree and a low rear end. He said it got rubber in all three gears!

That was an early 1950's Hudson convertible. It was maroon in color with a matching leather interior....black top, electric windows. What a car. I remember driving up to Maine in it from Pennsylvania. When the top was up, I used to sleep in the canvas trough that the top would settle into when it went down. So much for safety. Yeah, well, some kids had it worse.

Here’s a few of me. One was in the back of my great grandad’s 47 Canadian Mercury, a Car I’ve been trying to track down again for a little bit. The other is me a couple years ago, with a couple good friends from high school about two years ago with my car. I want to say I was only 17 at the time. Fun times.
