Wish I wasn’t. Once the kids are out of school all bets are off.

Great weather. Beautiful nature. Overall populous growing dumber by the day. Gov growing more hostile to small businesses by the day.

Hope these guys do better with more money in their business and pockets!

 

The big question is: Will they ship an issue before the move?

 

Would the last party leaving California please turn out the lights.

 

Love Rodders Journal and ordered 4 issues I didn't have for a whopping $18 shipped last week. As for the whole escaping California thing, I did in 2013 and haven't looked back. My only regret is I didn't do it sooner.

 

Get out of here, another business leaving CA due to excessive cost of living? Wow, how unusual....

Eliminate great weather and beautiful nature. Keep the rest and you'll find plenty of places to move to-here and abroad. Might as well come here to PA. We've got a great car scene, decent weather, nice scenery, Amish buggies and Hershey.
People are still dumb. As George Carlin said, "Imagine how stupid the average person is and then realize that 50% of the people are stupider than that".

Hey, I'm glad to hear the news. I have a few really neat friends in California and I worry about them daily because of earthquakes, wild fires, mudslides, and the sorry fucking politicians who have gutted the state. I wish Steve Coonan the best of luck in Va. There are many cool rodders (HAMBers) in that neat state, especially Danny Hotrodprimer. I love his wife's Ranch Wagon.

 

He is choosing a great location, Hamtown. I just wish he could have considered Texas, but he will do fine in Va.

Read article about some free agent baseball player signing that stated CA state taxes are 13%, He signed with the Philly's as PA state tax is 3%. No brainer. CA is becoming a foreign country.

I believe Steve will be at Jalopyrama. Ask him about attending the Ice Cream Revival that will be in TRJ's honor.
If he asks when is the date, tell him any date he wants.
I just think it would be fun if Steve and Co can get time to come to Smithfield but I'm sure they will be very busy for some time after the move. We'll just see how it goes but y'all welcomed in Smithfield any time for ice cream.
