Digging up the history of my father in laws 1929 roadster and in his notes he said he bought it in 1959 from someone that built it in Crescent City, Cali and belonged to “The slicks”. roughly what the car looked like except it seems it was originally white. I know, long shot but haven’t found anything online about the club still being around. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

I live the name because In my head is like Slick tires and also having a slick car or being a slick dude. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
This is obviously a club jacket and I don't know regionally how it relates to your Slick Hotrod, but there most definately could be. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/found-old-slicks-stockton-jacket.1133183/ Credit to Photographer, Owner
Some of those club names were real popular around the country and at the time I'd say that the majority of members of individual clubs thought that they had come up with an original club name and were the only club that had it.
