I’m looking at a T bucket a couple hundred miles from me and I like most things about it. But... it has a “ reversed Corvair” steering box on it. Seems like I’ve heard bad things about this. Could anyone School me on the pros and cons of this set up? Thanks in advance...

They have been the go to box since the mid 60's.
Like anything they can be installed incorrectly and as a result have some issues.
I had one on my big block powered T, and that was used A LOT on the highway for long trips to various shows. Worked excellent!
If I built another T I would use another Corvair box. Not sure on the new aftermarket stuff though. Not really sure about anything like that from the aftermarket for that matter.
I'd source and then reverse an original. They are still around...

On a light weight T-bucket it is a good box. Not so good on an A roadsters or heavier car.
