Projects reverse tilt 1951 ford f1 hood

    Anyone have experience (good, bad or ugly) with this?
    Pictures and advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I would look at how the hood is hinged on a '57-'58 Ford passenger car & go from there.

    friend done it and hated it. pain in ass to adjust plus hood is always in way working on engine. looks good for show. not practical for use.

    A guy I knew in California back in '70 had an F1 that had a tilting front end, not just the hood. Worked real good to cover up the 394 Olds. Hinges were hidden and it easy for one guy to open it.

  6. There's a guy in Colorado Springs that has a green 50 that was done well. He's on here sometimes. His truck was chopped and has the hood pancaked. He had a build thread a few years ago but I don't remember where I saw it.

  8. In the '90s the kits were made from Mercedes parts they worked real well.

    I like a hood that tilts forward unless the engine is a FoMoCo and has the distributer on the front. LOL
