just reciently bought a chassis for my 37 from supreme hot rods in hoschton,ga. worked directly with jeremy the owner who was great to work with. i started building the car about 15 yrs ago and got frustrated with the frame repair that was done on the car before i got it. lets see if i can get something done over the next year. I'm think'in kzoo 2012. let the thread begin

Looks like a decent frame for a full fenderd car. But 15 years to decide on a frame?? Its all set up for M2 and I see a Bango rear. Why not run a more modern rear??

Not trying to be a dick. Just dont see why going all out on a custom made frame and running that rear.

the rear is off my 39 truck in the garage. The 37 has a 8in 289/c4. i'm just gonna swap everything over. 15 YEARS IS WAY TO LONG. thats why i bought the frame.

back to work on the coupe. mounted the rear leaf springs today. tried to find my original instructions for the chassis eng leaf kit but no luck. Just hung a plumb bob to the axle housing center to locate the frnt spring mount dimension. measured about a kazillion times the drilled and tapped the threads of the front brkts. rear brkt to be mounted. that one will be easier as i kept the rear frame section that had the brkt bolted to originally.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you mounted the body without painting the chassis ?

finally made a decision on the 37. now that its actually time for the body repairs I felt I may be over my head so I sold the body. its now resting in texas. I bought a 40 sedan that needed much less work. thanks to north texas customs for keeping the coupe alive.

here's the 40 sedan. started repairs last year and here's where I'm at. should be a fun car to share with my grandkids. keeping the body all stock. a few updates to the interior for comfort but that's it. she looks good just the way it sits.

I've been working on the rear floor over the winter and here's my take so far. The rear had the usual floor, tool tray rot. I bought the kit and tool tray from EMS which I've had pretty good luck with their products and they're right here in Detroit.

Started with some cross rein for stability. I left partial front floor just to not disturb all the aged metal and to keep my floor aligned.

I was going to leave the tool tray and repair but to far gone so i decided to replace it and boy am I glad I did. Much cleaner!! Per the EMS website you need to make so extensions to reach the tail pnl.

Hopefully this can help fellow hamber's when replacing tool tray. I'm not replacing the tail pnl as I want the body to remain stock and exactly how it looks. Bought this small brake and worked perfect.
