Anymore they could put "Do not open hood - no user serviceable items in there".

Hmm .... this might be working on a record for slowest response to a JJ feature, by you anyway.
I for one love this shit, especially holding it in your hand, connects you with the past.
Wasn’t 1939 the first year of Ford juice brakes? That makes it even cooler.

Thanks for the scans @Ryan, I learned some interesting info about the stock driveline in my '39.

23E8A1A9-33D4-4361-A22B-D87993AEE99B.jpeg Old cars and vintage manuals are so wonderful. Henry really put a lot of thought into how to make things last with periodic lubrications. It makes me smile while I’m under my 40 with a grease gun and an oil can. Even the door latches and dovetails get a shot of oil. After I lube them my doors shut easier than any modern day car....

Owners manual for my 38 Chevy was the same way. Things certainly have changed. Back then, people could and did. Now they won't and can't.

  10. I love old car related literature, I have been known to read service manuals for fun.

Thanks @Ryan, the ‘39 is the most enjoyable car we have in the fleet.
