Getting the 69 Olds 350 engine ready for my 41 Olds.

I would like to put the oil pressure switch at the stock front location and find a place on the rear for the 41 mechanical gauge connection
    .
Has anyone tried drilling and tapping the oil filter housing for an oil pressure connection ? 41 with Original Torque Thrust wheels (1).jpg

I've used a tee fitting before, so they are located at the same outlet.

Hi. Nice looking ride. Drilling could be risky as you could tap into about anything. Why not use the front location and screw a brass T into the block and run both from same location.
    Good luck, Jimmie

I prefer not to run copper tubing all the way to the front of the engine. The 394 I pulled out had the oil pressure port on the oil filter adapter tucked away on right rear bottom.

The front may be your only choice to be safe.

You could check with Mondello.com for other places to hook up your gauge.
