444B0A4F-E857-4C7B-9F84-4418689DA150.jpeg And beat me to this awesome Kellison. Congrats on the score! It looks to be a great buy. I’m making it a habit of just missing out on really cool old drag cars. Anyways Congrats again, and if you change your mind feel free to drop her off here in Illinois on the way to Oregon if you like.

It’s Caddillac powered w/ Lasalle Transmission and Pontiac rear and all cool! Don’t really know anything else about it Seller told me it was titled 57 but he thinks it’s a 58 body. I just know I saw one at the Meltdown Drags a few years ago and it was hands down the coolest car there IMO. I’ve been on the lookout for one like it ever since and my brother stumbled across this one and relayed it to me but when I contacted the seller he said I was a bit late. Someone from Oregon had just wired him the money.

If you're searching for one also include Astra GT besides just Kellison. The first one I ever saw in person had a Three Deuce 389 Pontiac and a 4 spd. The car was done right and was just Beautiful. I always save photos of them when I see them, so I will post them when I find them. Don't give up, they are out there!

I wonder if the buyer is the World of Speed car museum in Wilsonville?

Eveytime I saw the Kellison at the Meltdown drags, People would ask, What is it. Don`t know how many times I said, it is a Kellison. Then had to explain what that was.

Looks pretty solid. I chased after a J2 shell for several years and the guy who had it let it decay out in the weeds rather than sell it.

Very Cool!!! However, from the photos, it looks like a 57 Chevy rear axel, not a Pontiac. Pontiacs, have the filler plug in the drop out carrier, not the back of the housing. Any photos of the Caddy engine?

No pics, I asked he wouldn’t send me any pics since he sold it already. I ask for some anyways. I also ask if he would take my name and number Incase something happened and the buyer backed out but he wouldnt do that either. The info on the drive train is just what he told me. It makes sense that it could be the early Chevy front loading rear. I believe they (Kellison bodies),were often put on C1 Vette chassis
