Never been a fan of Demon carbs , just seemed to be a fancy copy of a holley...The guys I knew who bought them always seemed too fat out of the box. Don't think they fit the Hamb profile, but then again I have quick fuels on my 57

 

.....And just like the Holley carbs, the Demons can be tuned with Holley Jets and other accessories...

 

As promised I posted a picture of the secondary metering plate that's been modified to accept idle air bleeds screws for tuning the secondaries... And some pictures of Holley 3-bbl carbs...

 

Bad assBTW check out the gynormous vac secondary diaphram on the 3 barrel ..I was telling someone about that on an earlier post

 

I too have one of those 3-barrels..Also have a 850 version of a 660 center squirter main body..

 

I have these in my 450's to tune the secondaries

 

Are these #0-4224 Carburetors still available ? If so, how do you order them ? thanks, dyno dave

Ordered mine directly from the Holley site , good luck think there gone...

 

FWIW, since this closeout was posted on several internet sites, orders came in so many and so fast, the Holley ordering system mistakenly accepted a lot of orders for this deal and sent e-mails as shipped when there were no more carbs left in stock.

The nice thing was I got a call on Saturday apologizing for the hiccup and offering a discount on anything in the Holley catalog to make up for the mistake.

I ordered 2 sets... One set shipped with the addon (jet kit) The first set I ordered got cancelled for no reason I was like WTF ! Cancel the first order but ship the second?

I did get a email from a Holley personal asking if there was another item I would get a one time GOOD DEAL ! so I sent email back inquiring about a set of blower carbs and the answer back was 10% off WOW now that is a one time GOOD DEAL !

Now I was going after a set of those Demon carbs and now cant buy online? so what gives

 

Ha, I got mine on Saturday too, I have 4 cars in the garage with 2x4's, you'llfind something to put them on

 

This stuff is close outs, not producing anymore, so when whatever they have on hand is sold that's it.
What size blower carbs were you looking at ?

 

I understand that... But why do the 2nd order thru and not the 1st is what bugs me...

Nothing Sto0pid 650 to 700's or so

Its a more of the "look" than Ground shattering Horsepower...

 

I know a guy that ordered 4 carbs before I ordered my 2 but he only got 3, weird deal.
If I can ever get a handle on these 950's I'll have a pair of 750 blower carbs with about 300 miles on them available.

Next thing to do is to modify the throttle bodies for annular discharge boosters.... Real easy to do with a Bridgeport....

Very cool... I should have spent some of my hard earned cash on a pair of center squirter carbs... Oh, well....

 

I'm glad I checked back in. I looked for quite a while yesterday and all I got was "not available on line" on the 650s. Thanks for the link JNKYARDDOG, I just ordered one.

 

Just incase they wanted to give me any lip, damn non stick bowl gaskets like to stick, to nice to stick that screwdriver under the horn ring to pry on.

 

Spray Pam cooking spray on those.... Garrenteed (sp) not to stick.....
