This is some of 57 Corvette Bob's artwork from about 6-7 years ago. I had it done for a buddy's birthday. Sadly, we buried my buddy yesterday. He died from a terrible disease PSP. So, I thought I'd post it in my buddy's honor. Thanks so much for your talent Bob.

I slept in, then got up on the wrong side. Actually, it was 3 in the afternoon here, so that's a rum sleep-in. And c'mon Rob, my caricatures are shit. I ain't twisted like y'all good comics haha..

Diggin' Kenmo & Xhotrodder previous posts, juxtaposed. In Kenmo's we see the (background) world as it is, increasingly homogenised (modern architecture, volumes & signs- Aaarrgghh!!). In Xhotrodder, we see what was, as it is. Makes me want to visit Kentucky, & the south.


Forgot to post this. Anyone from Georgia remember this orange Merc? Pal of mine has it now. It's black now. Total frame-up redo, in South Australia. Debut a fortnight ago. These sketches do the car's finish no justice. The thing is mind-blowing. More on this one later.

Hey Ron,

Here is something for your photo collection (Hell's Angels bug) courtesy of my wife. It is an actual Hell's Angels photo taken by my wife in 1968-69. She was using one of our Asahi Pentax 35mm cameras, Ektachrome color slide, and was shot from inside of the El Camino.

As we drove by, they actually gave a look at my wife inside of the El Camino and did the old head up..."what's up" move, waved? smiled and we zipped by at speed. We never saw them again, all the way into the SF Bay Area and into Oakland.

I told her to take a close up when we were right next to them right after the "what's up" head move...she told me to speed up and get the #$@% out of there. So, we did.

Our sunglasses gave us the cool factor, along with the then, current trend of long, shoulder length hair. It was a scene straight out of the 60s. (as funny or scary as it was.)

Hello,

We took many trips to the SF Bay Area for photo shoots and incorporated those into great vacation drives from 67 to 74. Everyone has heard the stories of the raucous attitude and notoriety of a certain group of motorcycle riders in the East Bay Area. As we were approaching the Bay Area, we encountered a group of motorcyclists moving quite fast on the freeway. Some had on colors, some did not, but the name on the back was very distinct and recognizable. But, they were nice and waved to us. It must have been the coolness of our 1965 and 72 El Caminos.

My wife was fast enough to take this photo upon approaching the bikers.
