  9. Rich, looks great. I can't remember if I mentioned it, but my brother in law is building a '40 truck, but using a hood from a '41. He filled the trim holes on the front of the hood, and chose to run the thin '40 style trim that screws to the bottom instead.

You planning on having the truck at Frog Follies this year? I tried to catch up with you a couple times when you were cruising by in the roadster, but was unsuccessful.

    Rich,
First of all, thank you for taking the time to share the work you are doing. It takes a lot of time to actually stop and take pictures and its easy to get in the groove while working, and not have a single picture taken.

Next, Did you weld the spring perches onto the rear axle? I don't see any welds on the pictures you posted, so I'm thinking that perhaps those are just mock-up pictures you posted of the rear axle.

Also, any chance you can explain and/or post pictures of how you made your fan shroud?

Very nice build, you didn't waste any time getting it done. The full length running boards really make the truck flow.

Yeah, I welded the spring perches once I figure the angle for the axle.

I didn't take any pics of fabbing the fan shroud, but it's just 20 gauge steel that I had laying around.
It's pretty much a box, with a bump built into the top for the blade.

The blue looks like it could be Capri Blue (original '41 color). Nice truck! Is the donor the Maroon one in the last pic?

I never got around to a front bumper, the original was shot, and I was missing one bracket.

I thought nerf bars said "hot rod" more than a bumper, so on they went.

I really dig the look, they're Pete and Jakes 35-40.
