This is a 1952 Crosley hot shot super sports.

 

Andy Devine did so many cowboy movies it was hard to find this one. "Danger on Wheels" It's on you tube and has some neat '40's race footage. Otherwise a solid B movie. There is one scene at the start of a modified Auburn boat tail, the nose is ugly, kinda like the Topper car. Couldn't find any still pictures and I haven't figured out how to do a screen shot.

 

I hated the roof line on these cars, but they sure went like hell with the 406.

wife and I are going to be doing a vacation back to NM this summer and I want to do the Rt.66 thing,is this part of it still available to go through ?

 

I love the pictures of the Sausalito ferry. Actually, I like them all.

In no way does that thing resemble the great Topper car. The front looks more like a '39 Plymouth.
