  1. Made a 3/8" diameter fuel pick-up / sender for my BBC Bel Air wagon project. Came as a 5/16" from the factory and doubt I could have found a 3/8" so fab away. One of those 4-5 hour jobs that no one will ever see. It works and fits, mission accomplished.

You need to make a big sign and/or do something special to commemorate the occasion when you set up!

I think I may bring all the parts to assemble a rolling Model A Ford chassis and let the Grandkids put it together. It may draw a crowd they are 1,4 and 7 years old. Bob

That is a 1954 Chrysler Windsor. I traded it for some steel rims and some cash in Kansas.

Got this engine on the stand before mother nature started to bury me with the cold white stuff... IMG_20190215_031309887.jpeg IMG_20190215_031300591.jpeg

Looks good! Are you going to solder the joint? Or use a petroleum resistant sealer?

Installed Newport Engineering electric wiper motor in my 56 replacing the vacuum unit. Not for the feint of heart. Absolute PITA but that WAS stated in the instructions. After a few failures I made some minor changes and if I had started that way would have saved at least 2 hours They work great.....

Thanks for sharing that... I have been on the fence in regards to this subject.

Did you happen to take any pictures?

Classic, yes I did but the just show under the dash before and after won't mean much.... If your thinking of a 55-56 Ford Merc if can send what it took me to make it a lot ezier than the instructions. Another car probably would not help.

I installed one in my 55 and had to make some changes to get it to go in easier,I fought it for about a hour and then with the changes it went right in.

We went on a 680 mile road trip with good buddies to a cool relaxed traditional event , great atmosphere . Some real interesting stuff there and best of all no posers or billet, real people with real cars.
Of course the road workers knew we were coming and we had mile upon mile of laid that day fresh tar and chip . Stuck all over the car , probably two handfuls between the rear spreader bar and gas tank alone .We could not really go any slower than 20mph.

Spent today at the Sacramento Autorama, I'm a sucker for indoor car shows so I had to take the day off from rebuilding my roadster. But yesterday, I finished the new brake pedal/MC assembly and removed all the remaining stuff so tomorrow I can start the final welding and hole filling on the frame and hopefully get it to the sandblasters soon.

  22. Because of all the snow and rain, my "modern" van crapped out and it isn't a computer problem. Because I needed immediate mobility, I had to fire up, and tune up, my 45 year old, reliable, o/t beast to provide me with reliable transportation until I can find the problem with the van.
Now it is a matter of finding the mechanical problem or bad ground that is causing this problem. Simple is better.

Got some metal plates anchored in the ground for the beams to support my new shop addition. 16 x 16 addition to clear out the main shop area so I can start slicing and dicing on my Sedan Delivery project. Also practiced a bit with the TIG welder I bought me for my birthday a few weeks ago. I've got a lot to learn where that is concerned!

Showed my Grandson the ideas I had in mind, the Bugatti or Bonneville drop tank. He just staired at the Varney car and said WOW! So were making a drop tank. That 6 year old can block sand! Bob DSCF0024.JPG

Pulled the ElCamino out of the garage, put the front wheels with new tires back on, and for the first time in over 3 years, got to start working on her again.
