@mike bowling I might want that orange roll bar!

I'm still not sure I'm into the idea of selling this year but I'll be there looking for Model A beds, 28/29 pu doors, back seats out of Jeeps, 53-55 F100 dashboards... etc.

@patmanta I have a 28/29 door, it is pretty crispy but you are welcome to it.
I will get pictures and forward to you later in the week.

If you live ANYWHERE close to Fitchburg and you are looking at this thread, you will not be disappointed with this gathering.
Lots of people drive their hot rods, more and more every year.
It gets going early and finishes early, so you will be home for lunch.
The swap is massive and full of good stuff.
I have found everything that I needed for my projects at this swap.
You will see and meet a lot of HAMBers amongst hundreds of other guys.
The hamburgers don't make you poop your pants 15 minutes later.
In other words, go to this, you will not be sorry.

That “ roll bar” is made out of an old street hockey net! Not too safe, but it looks good. (?)

Went to the Early Ford v8 club swap meet only once. (if my memory serves me right) this was in the early 80s. Wasn't in Fitchburg at the time, does anyone remember where it was held?

  12. This and the indoor Burnt Hills swapmeet are likely to be the only ones I do this year.
    .

Part I plan to bring if they do not sell at Burnt Hills-
    Turned Wide Five front hubs
Front and rear 39-41 Ford backing plates
N.O.S. early Ford (in box) wheel bearings inner and outer I think I have a couple sets
37/38(?) I Ford vintage Mor-Drop axle with matching spindles and spring ahead wish bones
I was told the axle came out of a 40 Ford perfect for @gonzo We know how much he likes 40 Fords!:)
    Some BlueFlame engine parts.

    I will post photos latter

Also, I think, Concord off Route 2, and Wakefield, off Route 128?

Fitchburg has been scheduled a week or two later than their traditional time slot. To the best of my knowledge, and disappointment, I believe the first New England Dragway swap meet, and nostalgia drags, are consequently in conflict. Do I sense from this thread that most Hambers will be going to Fitchburg? (To compound my irritation, I believe Lake Compounce is the same day!)

I'll be skipping Epping for sure. There is no comparison, Fitchburg swapmeet is the best one of the year.

Same here. I can hit Epping later in the season if the mood or need strikes me. This one is only once a year and I usually see folks I know and buy their junk. I enjoy myself the most at Fitchburg (now that I'm not selling anymore). There's usually a lot of excitement in the air since it kicks off the season. The overlap is a bummer but I'd imagine there will still be plenty of buyers, sellers and gawkers.

Hey, I have an NOS gas tank for that car.
I'll be going to Fitchburg as it's only a 15 min ride from here.

Oh no! Crap, I was thinking about going to that too since it's being held where I learned to ice skate as a child! I didn't connect that it was the same weekend. I don't think I'd fare well doing a turn n burn from Easton, MD to home then out to Fitchburg.

I think I've got the drive to Fitchburg in me more than the haul back down to MD so soon after the last one though. I don't want to miss the swap and I'm already planning to meet up with people there anyway.

This gas tank is now in my garage! One less piece of the puzzle needed now. Thanks Norman

  25. Well things have changed for me.:( Now I hope to make Fitchburg. Will see what the doctors say.
Life does change on a dime. Drive those hot rods every chance you get!;)

  26. 6 weeks from this Sunday! Can't wait!

  27. As long as the weather is okay, I will be coming up from Pennsylvania. This is my chance to see old friends, and make new ones. My wife says that I don't need any more parts, but it is in my blood, and has been for 60 plus years.

  30. I live quite a distance away and was just wondering how big the swap meet is. I enjoy those more than shows.
