  2. I hope I can keep both of them and finish the Roadster I started. We will see!

  3. The sedan would be a much better east TN car for our weather but the Roadster came with side curtains!

    Keep up the good work!

  6. Rolled the Roadster outside for the first time ever today. Gonna bring it to the shop and get serious on the metal work on the body. I’m really partial to hiboy Roadsters and seeing it outside is really cool and puts it into perspective of what it will look like.

One with and without fenders? One more ‘50 style and other earlier? Pretty cool.

  10. Thanks Bob. Our house is on the ridge. The view is pretty nice in the winter. I bet the view was really nice when the house was built in 1960.

  11. I can't keep both roadsters so I just listed the project for sale in the classifieds.

Finished cars are great IF they have been maintained.

  14. The gold car is an old Hot Rod that was built in the late 60's. It's hardly what I would call a finished car in my eyes. I will meticulously disassemble it and rebuild the entire chassis and make the car sit and look right. I look at it like buying a solid roadster body that I can build my hot rod around and be way further ahead in the long run.

Our model a 2-door sedan was built in 78 and sold around 81. Between 1981 and now the people who under did not know how to maintain it, especially the Jaguar brakes and rear end since we bought the car just before Thanksgiving we've put about 14 into it, basically fixing things that other people did not need anything and upgrading with simple things like reclining seats and putting the interior back in and changing the lever shocks to tube painting turn signals but we did spend about 4 grand on the brakes. If I bet it's getting there and with latest round of changes will be able to drive it more and my wife will be able to have a seat.

So glad you are keeping it! This will be cool

  19. I really can’t afford to do both of them but I can do a lot of metal work on this one without spending much cash.

  22. Thanks Matt! Finally getting back in the groove after moving our shop. Hoping to get on to roughing the passenger side soon.

  24. Fixed the passenger side b pillar foot and got the lower patch installed. For some reason the Brookville lower 1/4 patches are about 3/4” to short front to back so I cut the front off them and added a piece. Still needs a lot of detail work but making progress

  28. Thanks Bill. Yeah, nobody wanted it the way it was so I figured I’d do the metal work.
