Used to adjust float level in carb. Lay it over the fuel brown so the gas come up to the top and set. The bowl like thing is made to displace just enough fuel to make the adjustment.

  11. When I was a kid, the teacher used to rap us on the noggin with a ruler if we got out of hand. This is a professional noggin rapper probably patented in the '40's when school budgets allowed for modern innovations. It is very collectable, probably get 400 to 600 dollars on ebay

Its a prototype to a new idea. It will do the job quicker than previous methods. After your done with the tool, you have completed the task. Place in a tool box that is suitable for 20 years of storage.

Do not throw it away. Some day you will receive a phone call and be asked to use it.

Man! I can't believe that I'm the only old fart boozer here today. I never was really a fan of beer so went for the higher octane stuff, usually with ice. Back in the day (late '50's/early '60's) we didn't have all the new fangled ice crushing gadgets like they do now and so if you wanted a mixed drink that required crushed ice, this is the thing that you needed. You take an ice cube, hold it in the palm of your hand and (with the tool in the other hand) smack it with the little dish thing (by snapping your wrist) that's on the end of this "tool". The red steel strip is actually spring steel and if you get enough speed on the dish thing, it can provide quite an impact. The ice gets blasted into a jillion pieces in your hand and voila! you have crushed ice! Just pour the crushed ice into a glass, pour in your poison of choice and your ready to go! Think I'm full of shit (or have done this enough times to pickle my gray matter)? Ask Built-To-Drag to try it and report the results. Cheers!!
