I was wondering the same also... May have an issue with the linkage to the carbs - don't remember seeing any.

Tweety is back in it’s forever home. We really thought we had the Bruce Meyer award. So much racing history and down right beautiful ground hugging stance. So many people who were not even born when Tweety graced the pages of Hot Rod Magazine came to me and said how this car was burned in their brain. It was great to see kids that knew the car too.The battle to keep history alive was met by the most awesome team ever. Tweety was loosing the fight to live as Tweety when we got him back.Tweety is now Tweety of the 1950’s.Who knew you could take the Ala Kart out of a Musiem and had already been restored to perfection in 2008 and call it the most historical car preserved of the year. Our Texas Hill Country team I wouldn’t trade for any thing. How about this historic photo sent to us. I will always think of this car as the most historic car built of 2019!! I'm guessing that Ala Kart was chosen because it was originally a Barris build! Certainly doesn't make it right though!

Coverage of the GNRS on Tweety was exceptional - would like to see some future photos/videos of Jim & Tweety at cruise nights, shows, driving on the road, etc. Once the Texas winter months pass through of coarse...

Looking forward for the first real driving of Tweety on the road!, 41865B96-1F6A-43E5-A84C-730D79F69054.jpeg FB85E128-19CA-4703-81E6-487C5A1C1B74.jpeg 4DED9988-992E-42C5-9607-7BBB481BF751.jpeg F32D5685-ADCB-418F-A0CD-5529B2A6239A.jpeg 032E7D68-3D9E-4EE9-AE5F-38CA2CBCDC21.jpeg 6B1A532A-B67C-4F1C-AC88-0EAAAA2E1689.jpeg

It’s old west charm was perfect for this pre 1948 cars. Thanks Rudy for show casing Tweety’s first Texas Show in 45 years.

Now this is one HOT ROD SHOWDOWN that would never disappoint! Not a single "billet street rod" in sight - thank heaven! I would kill to see a show like this, but they just don't have them like these in my parts of the country.

It's great to see Tweety on the road and attending events that he can drive to - imagine how proud he must be!

Thanks for the great pics. And I love this shot: the owner of the car sees fit to actually lean against the paint on an AMBR contender?
    He "gets it"! Rock on!

We are in the Pebble Beach Show in August. First stop will be Speed Week in Bonneville to visit the salt flats. Jim drove Tweety there in 1954 and was apart of the Triumph team that set the record for Triumph’s fastest motorcycle. The next year Triumph came out with the Triumph Bonneville bike. This bird loves it’s new feathers. Thanks Rex Rod and Chassis!
