I drove to Duncan, South Carolina yesterday afternoon and lightened my wallet. I purchased the vinyl, carpet, backing, wind lace, padding, clips & glue and dropped it off at Dave's last night,I also stopped of at Early Ford V8 for some interior trim pieces. This is very similar to the material. HRP Parts from Early Ford V8.
Good Thread, lots of Ideas everybody is always thinking about doing or changing interior, Low Budget ,I liked your interior but not really sure if price matches your Handle, and Hot Rod A couldn't help but smile when I saw your AIR Bag !!
Although the pic I posted isnt mine, It doesnt seem that would be any more expensive than anything else decent, as I think its kind of a plain and simple design that looks good. Also the only time I get to not worry as much about adhering to a shoestring budget is when Im spending someone elses money
Still working on some wiring & modifying the VA system to retain the working cowl,so the style of the interior is still up for debate, I'm leaning toward the wide pleat along the lines of the original pattern. HRP
Some really nice interiors in this thread.... A buddy of mine picked up a complete Cartouche interior kit for his 30 Mod A 2-door sedan. He had the original seats and he said it’s really a very nice kit, installed nicely (he had never done a full kit before), and a minor problem was handled quickly. He also said there were options to modify the kit. He sourced some carpet from Walmart and bound it with vinyl. Came out super .... He will get some pics once he returns from vacation
Gulfstream (jets) facility is pretty close here in Savannah. I was at an auction a week ago and there were a few tables of Gulfstream parts, pieces and overstock. Got three of these genuine leather panels (about 3 by 4 feet) for $5. Damn...I wish there had been more. Not a fan of the beige color, but they can be dyed.
