Thanks, Exactly what I was thinking. I think I will take the tires off, blast them and see how they turn out.

The guy on eBay doesn't even know what it came off of, he says so, he has no idea what he's selling and he pulled a price out of his ass. Pricing comparisons are only valid on items that are sold, people ask all kinds of wacky prices for stuff but it has no bearing on actual value.

  6. I have even seen ads here on the hamb classifieds with ludicrous prices on everyday common stuff.

Long time ago stopped to help a young lady change a flat tire. When I grabbed the spare out of the trunk I started laughing because the car used four lug wheels but the spare was a five lug. She asked me what was wrong so I showed her the difference, five lug to four lug, her reply was "can't you just leave one lug nut off"? And yes, I've bought a few Chevy wheels because I didn't count the lug holes

  9. $350 for an ultra rare 6 lug 18" 1932 Ford wheel seems cheap.

The wheels in the ebay posting are five lug not six.

  11. Steve,

Help me, I am confused (at my age that is easy).

You have an EBAY link to a wheel for $345. I have attached a picture from the link. It looks like a '32 Ford wheel to me. Assuming it is straight it is probably worth about $50 if you needed it. A friend just gave me one, got tired of tripping over it. The second picture is the spare from my AVATÅR.

I assume the 4 pictures you attached to your post are different wheels you are trying to identify? Sorry I can't help but the 6 lugs are a clue. I would think a GM product around 1932.

Charlie, Don't cut yourself short! =)

The eBay listing is NOT mine. Just a wild listing I saw.
The pictures I attached are a couple wheels I've had for a while.
Thanks for providing me your picture.

That is a $50.00 wheel to someone with three and has a show the next weekend. Check the sellers other items, all 3,500+ items! They all have phone number prices. Bob

I agree that is out there for used. I read a post that said you can always go down but you cannot go up. But wacky prices will make most of us go onto the next item of interest. There is a listing for a '32 single front Ford fender. 2,500.00. Now , I saw a '32 Ford grille with a winter's front go for $10,000 plus on eBay a few years back. Multiple bidders. Shoot for the stars .but don't shoot your foot.:D
