anyone fitted a 33 Ford grill in a 34 using 34 hood how much modding needed. Are the fenders the same sorry if seems silly question just not to many this side of the pond to compare. Cheers Wayne

Full fender or fender less??? The 33 has a curve at its base and the 34 is more straight up and down.

Fenders are the same,Hoods not so much. The grill reveal on a 33 is narrower ,so the hood is longer ,and has a curve on the hood top front to match the narrower reveal. One latch handle a thirty three, two on a thirty four, among other differences including curved rake on 33.

I had a Drake grille on my '34. I'm sure there are guys who know details about original grilles that could pick the Drake grille apart, but I thought it was damn nice.

And, yes last I checked, they were backordered.

I think it'd be tough to find a chrome shop that could replate an original like the one above for under 2 grand.

drake waits until he has a bunch of orders for grills, then he has em made. what happens next is the street rod vendors buy up the rest to resell to you. you buy from drake, you get the whole thing, ford badge, top collar, outer trim, etc for 25 hunsky or so. the dealers sell just the bare grill for 25 hun, and you buy the other stuff separate.

Drake grilles are made in Taiwan or China as Redo32 says. Not Australia.Southern Rods in SC(?) bought the last of the Drake '34 grills last yr.I was told by a reliable source that there were 40 of them. They might still have some left. The last nice rechromed original grill that sold here and by a HAMB member brought $4500.If C&G has one you better get it.I doubt that they still have it.They do not update their site very often. All Ford Parts in Campbell,CA might have one.Try them.
