Hey guy! I’ve been looking for these for quite some time can’t seem to find a set. Does anyone have any leads or any sets willing to sell? Or even know who produced them. Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Searching around a bit I'm wondering if that isn't a cap someone assembled using Ford Fairlane caps and the flipper and mesh off aftermarket flippers. Snagged a 57 Fairlane hubcap photo off the net Then borrowed a photo from Shoebox central for the 4 bar that you probably saw as I saw you have been inquiring all over the place on your cap Speedway and others sell the same cap. Figuring that back in the day someone picked up a set of fippers from the parts house or maybe found a set cheap and swapped the center and flipper over to the Ford cap.
Might be one made up, but that doesn't look like its a 57 Fairlane hub cap to me. Too many differences.
Not an original 57 Ford cap. Count the number of ribs on outer rim, they are different. Sent from my 9024W using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Seen a old poster the other day and the same crossbar hubcap I posted in the 1st pic but different center cap. Maybe you guys know what it came off of. Circled in red Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

Hello, There was this discussion recently, about flipper hubcaps. There were two sides to every discussion and this one was a topper. We all know about Dodge Lancer 4 prong flipper hubcaps that were some of the most popular hubcaps back in the late 50s and early 6os. Dave Mc But, the discussion was pointed to the 4 prong flipper hubcaps as seen on this Ford sedan in the local Orange County shows and drives. Were they an aftermarket design or were they actually from the Detroit factories in the 50s-60s? Most seem to think they are all aftermarket creations. It looks like that is correct, with all of the different versions available. 1950-51 Ford Victoria with aftermarket 4 spoke hubcaps. There were even some of the 4 prong flippers, showing on some “newish” customs on the HAMB. Jnaki In all of the years of looking as car shows, from the early days and the road trips in those days, Dodge Lancers were the known quantity of 4 prong flipper hubcaps. So, when did these newer styles of one piece 4 prong flippers start to show up? Who made them, where were they originally designed and constructed?
