  6. Nice work everyone!.

I don't seem to get the time to do artwork anymore, but every two years our club has a Rod Run, and I get to draw the 'Rodder's Choice' award to give to the recipient as their prize.
Seemed like a good idea when I started doing it around 30 years ago:rolleyes:, but every run I'm two years older, and it gets harder to do in the ridiculous timeframe I've set myself. Voting ends at 9 on Saturday night, so I don't get to count the votes till' around 1 Sunday morning (there's socialising to be done after all :D), then I hopefully have taken a photo of the winning car sometime Saturday afternoon, which I can use as a reference.
Sketch it up to a stage where I'm feeling confident (and usually I've got quite a few beers in me at this point),then head off to bed. Up early the next morning to get some color in it before heading out on the day's activities, then sneak back late afternoon to letter it up and frame it, ready to be handed out at the prizegiving Sunday night!
I really get to wondering why the hell I put myself under that much pressure, but then I see the winner's face when I hold the picture up at prizegiving, and it somehow all seems worthwhile.;)

    It's a fun project.
