Popped a couple rivets in it to start fitting the rear straightaway on the tunnel. The tunnel will be put in with dzus fasteners to make it removable. I am loving how the tinwork is turning out. Probably my favorite part of building the car so far.

Gonna have to pull the drivetrain now so we can get access to put the dzus fasteners in for the tunnel and the tinwork will be pretty much finished other than door panels.

Really like the way the tinwork looks.

Getting ready to pull the drivetrain tomorrow and start running brake lines. Starting to get excited about it.

BA4DA869-774C-41CC-B7D6-CDF5C1938BF3.jpeg Got the brakes bled and finished up, and punched some holes in the front engine plate. Gonna finish welding a couple engine tabs and such, and put the engine and transmission back in after I clean up the engine. Hopefully start wiring this weekend maybe.

Also changed the tabs, didn’t like the aluminum spacers and added a side tab on each side to help hold the big block. And got the engine, trans, and driveline installed, for hopefully the last time for a while. Got the lightweight aluminum flywheel on too, along with the lighter base pressure, pressure plate. Really excited to see this thing coming together.

Gotta cut some aces panels in them for the latches so I can service them without having to remove the whole panel, and then I can rivet the panels in and the tinwork will be pretty much complete.

Dad was a layout man and sheet metal worker for years. He’s teaching me how to do it, and make it look right!

Got the outlets changed on the radiator to the bigger ones for a Chevy, got the front strap welded on, and painted it all SEGA legal black. Radiator is done and ready to be hooked up. Also got the access panels cut in the passenger side door panel and got it riveted in today too. Gonna make the drivers side panel tomorrow and get it in. List is getting shorter and shorter. Seems like the car is 90% finished, and I only have 50% left to do.

Spent the day finishing up the door panels. Put the access panels in, got the interior door latch (release) finished up, and got inside door pull handles put on. Other than putting the seat covers on and mounting the gauges, the interior is done.

Put panels in the trunk floor to give it a finished look and keep from trapping so much air in the trunk. Still have to put the dzus fasteners in so I can remove the panels, but this is the finished look.

Nice looking tin work Zak. As someone who has done a bit of this " back inna day" on dirt oval cars, I can really appreciate your fine workmanship here.

Now it’s down more in the back and looks right. Also got the tach and other gauges mounted.

Looks real nice! What's in the upper left, at the top of the A-pillar, by the roll cage? I've got a name for the car; The Garden Gnome; every time I see your Dad, that's what he looks like to me (not meant to offend!). How about painting the roof so it looks like a Confederate flag? I look back on page one of this thread, and what the car looks like now; HUGE transition; you do good work. Keep up, and keep posting. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
