Hey for some reason I can't find the post I put up about the corvette high performance and the Early bird Model T swap meets. It has been a while since I have posted here so hopefully I did it right?? I will be in booth E501 & 502 at the Corvette and booth 1634 & 1635 at the early bird stop by and visit
Corvette is the weekend of the 9th & 10th and the early bird is the following weekend the 16th & 17th
That one may get a low turn out unless the weather over there holds off. I doubt you will see many of us from the east side. The pass is pretty nasty right now . http://www.wsdot.com/traffic/passes/snoqualmie/
'got about five or six inches of snow here in Puyallup.. I consider myself a diehard swap meet attendee but, may just sit this one (CHP) out.
One of my buddies lives up the hill about a half mile NW of the park at Graham and he showed a photo of a foot of fresh snow this morning. Over here in Central WA South of Toppenish I have about 8 inches of new snow and a snow blower that won't start.
You might have to shovel your way there first Paul. I've got 350 ft of driveway that I might not be able to get out of this morning and the snow blower won't start.
I was at this arctic-weather station Swap Meet in Puyallup 2 years ago and the wind was 30 mph with occasional freaky higher gusts. I was talking to a guy when I heard this weird "scraping" sound and turned to see an aluminum small block Chevy bellhousing blowing across the pavement. I was thinking of going this year but the news on Friday morning said Seattle-Tacoma is basically "closed" by snow. The Ford guys always have their swap-meets in the summer sunshine because they are apparently smarter than the local Tacoma area Corvette club. I like ice fishing / curling (shuffleboard with whiskey on frozen lakes) / and outdoor hockey... but the Puyallup swap meet is too cold for me.
Had a great time at Early Bird , got catch up with a lot of great folks... Didn't get much... Pierce County 36 Wash. plate... A NOS Mansfield Wiz Mirror clock assy ( which now is no longer NOS and in my 36). The price was right and the older gent I bought from had it for nearly 40 years. The clock works great and keeps good time.. oh and Fischer Scones !
