Anyone got any shots of 32s running later model bumpers? Looking for suggestions/ideas. Thanks!

A 41 bumper has been used a few times, and it looks better than it sounds. Aussie Steve's 32 3-window comes to mind, but I don't have any photos.

Google the Ed Bosio roadster, it was Vic Edelbrock Sr's originally, Bosio bought it and it was AMBR winner one year. Might have had '41 bumpers like @alchemy mentioned above, but when it won the big trophy I think Bosio had wisely switched the bumpers for custom nerfs.
Stock, nerfs or none for me on a Deuce.

why thinking about "dare to be different" later bumpers?

  5. IMHO bumpers don't get any sexier that the Deuce but here is a odd bumber on a 32. HRP

That is from a 1932 Ford truck, not the Commercial vehicles, but the big 1 ton and up trucks.

A few of these look much like a snow plough, just because you can ....
32s are slim and trim remember , big ass bumper tips on a big ass 40s bumper and desoto bumper in my mind are jut too heavy for a light 32 . Its all about the balance. Nerf bars look cool. You could do a model A bumper , then Joe public says “cool model A” your heart sinks.

I have pondered this myself, and come to the same conclusion that the above photos show:
The only bumper that looks good on a ‘32, is an original bumper, or no bumper at all !

I’m happy to be proved wrong..... bttt

All these pictures don't improve a 32 at all.

I belong to the 32 only bumper or no bumper crowd. Just my opinion though.

  18. Why change one of the most beautiful pieces of a 32 ?

Really has anyone compared the photo in the first post to a 32 Double B Truck ? The one I worked on looked to me to have the very same bumper as the photo , I’m not sure but looks very similar

Looks like a BB bumper to me !

    I always wondered what a ‘33 / ‘34 bumper would look like on a deuce ?

    Amen !
The stock '32 bumper is perfect as is on a 1932 Ford. No other bumper looks as good on a '32 !

  27. The beauty of building hot rods is you can do what you like, it want necessarily appeal to every onr but if you like it that's all that matters, I can't think of any other bumper that looks as good as the original Deuce bumper, they even look good on Model A's and early Plymouths. HRP

    Now that looks good.
On a different note, if I may, thanks for posting those pictures. I was just about to ask for a photo shop of a matt black ‘32 with that colour rims and white walls.
    Now I don’t need too.
