Some of you old timers will remember Donnie even though he hasn't posted here in a couple years. He was one of the original GMBs (as GERM about it) and was very active for a few years. Unfortunately I heard today that Donnie had passed away yesterday of a heart attack. Even though I didn't see much of him recently I still considered him a friend. He will be missed.
Sorry to see that, I didn't think he had posted in quite a while but guys quit posting for different reasons.
Sorry to hear that. The HAMB is a family of car nuts. The good ones are remembered. Donnie will be remembered as one of the good ones. We all try to contribute what we can. Sorry for your loss. Lippy
One of the best ppl anyone could ever be fortunate enough to meet. Always smiling, always had a hug for my wife. He’ll be missed. RIP Donzie.
Wow, I hadn't heard about this yet. I hadn't seen him around a whole lot lately, but always liked running into Donzie. R.I.P.
Rest in peace, Donnie....I was laughing my ass off when Germ started the G(ay) M(ichigan) B(itches) Chapter.
Yes he was one of the originals Brush. Frank (FAB32) and I did a lot together and now they are both gone. The older you get the fewer friends you have left. I guess that means you should cherish the ones you have left before they are gone too. RIP Frank and Donnie.
I do think of you guys often,Donzie,Fab32 and you ..Fuel pump.meeting you all in the Early Days of Detroit (downstairs...)Your prolly the only one who still calls me by my orig handle... hahahah Keep ripping it up in your 32 Rich.
Donnie was the first HAMBer I met in person, way back in 03, and like Frank, and Rich, we were instant friends. It's tough hearing about his passing. Donnie was a great guy, not.only was his sense of humor infectious, he was a fantastic musician. He will be greatly missed.
This was on the way to the 2001 Detroit Autorama. It was about 10 degrees and Donnie drove his custom the 100 miles with only one stop to thaw out. It was hard core for sure while Frank (RIP FAB32) and I stayed warm in the chase car. It's hard to believe they are both gone.
Here is Donnie checking a truck cab that he just had to have so Frank and I helped him drag it out of Dick's junk yard. I don't think Donnie ever did anything with it and I don't know where it ended up.
