Yeah, but it merges onto the freeways really well. Not cheap to feed, but a kick in the ass to drive.

Have you two brothers thought of doing an Indie rewrite of "The Hearse"?

Hard to miss. I still think that body would fit right over the Cuda's, you could use it for a tent when you get to the drags.

Before I joined the H.A.M.B. last June, one of the heavy machines I used to have in my fleet was this killer 1965 Miller Meteor Cadillac ambulance. All 8500 hundred pounds of it. Bought it for $1,200.00 drove it a few times and then parked it in my back yard for 10 years. Everything worked on it. Over time more and more common sense would creep in and I lost interest in it. Met a guy at the Portland swap meet that had a bunch of cool old stuff, showed him the pictures of the " BONEBUS " and he flipped out, he said how much, I said, I got $1,200.00 in it, give me $1000.00 and you can drive it back to Portland. Him and his wife showed up a couple of days later, we got all of the machines up and running in my driveway, brought the rig up to the front of the line, and him and his wife tore into it. She cleaned up real nice and he put on a set of tires and wheels for the trip back to Portland, and away she went. It was a big machine and it rode very comfortably, but a bitch to take into any parking lot as it doesn't fit anywhere. The adventure in the LaSalle reminded me of long wheel base cars for such adventures. Thanks for a great travel log/adventure!

Any wonder about written truth in history? Simple, it's "his story".
