This is the kit. I chopped it scale 2", got the front fenders from my parts bin. Made the rear fenders from this kit. Good luck. The more I look at it, those exhaust tips are TOO BIG !

Here's one I finished a couple days ago. Almost built it stock, but couldn't help myself. :) But I did keep all the stock trim since it's so cool looking.

well,it's been a while since I posted any finished builds as I am limiting my time away from the computer to concentrate on getting a lot of kits finished since I recently retired back in October of '18.So,here are the one's that have been done since then and have 3 more on the bench currently that have the bodies painted and need to be started on.

Only showing this Foose Cadillac to show the new paint the Testors line has come out with called Color Shifting. This was painted their color shifting Green Copper over Model Master Gray primer. They have a Black gloss base coat you are supposed to use but it does say on the can you can try other alternatives which I spoon tested using the gray primer, white primer from Model Master along with the suggested black however it does not go good with Tamiya silvers so I would stay away from that.

This is the recently released MPC '57 Chevy gasser painted Testors 1 Coat Star Spangled Blue.Didn't like the wide slicks so I used a pair from the AMT Parts Pack slicks and Gasser wheels, decals from Slixx.

AMT '32 Ford Coupe using Modelhaus Artillery wheels and tires. The color is from Krylon Short Cuts but the name escapes me,if you need to know I do have the can back in the paint room and I can look it up.I need to cut some strips of balsa wood for the roof.

AMT '40 Ford SD painted 1 Coat Mystic Emerald and Model Master Black, wheels covers are parts box items that I have no idea what kit they are from, tires are Modelhaus big & little wide whites.

AMT '33 Ford kit painted Tamiya Blue/Gray,wheels from Modelhaus, slicks from AMT parts pack

AMT'40 Ford Coupe painted a Tamiya AS color again that escapes me,caps are from a Corvette with Modelhaus tires

And finally one I just completed today,Lindbergh's '34 Ford pickup.Color is Tamiya AS-8 Navy Blue, wheels and tires are from Revell's '37 Ford Panel.I have the hood top just need to get more paint to finish it.

thanks guys for the comments.I have a couple more on the bench that I got back to tonight,a '32 5 window kit like edco did only not chopped(not skilled at that) and a Revell '48 Ford that will be a mild custom. They won't be completed though for a couple weeks, like to take my time and get things figured out before slappin' glue on them.

    image.jpeg 29 Mercedes, was going to hot rod it but a 1/25 V8 just won't work in a 1/24 kit, o well !

  21. Find a 1:24 V-8 to use and put the in-line motor in a full fendered Model T coupe...LOL

My stuff looks pretty amateur compared to you guys’ work. I used to get into the fine detail work as a teenager but was never satisfied with the results and rarely finished anything. After a long hiatus, I’ve gotten back into modeling - mainly due to the exciting vintage box art that Round 2 is putting out. Here are some pictures of stuff I’ve put together recently. Some are new builds and some are long abandoned projects I’ve resurrected.
