I just received a call saying that my good friend Van Enblom has passed. Van owned the Fat Fendered street rod shop in Kingman Arizona. Van was a very talented, honest and kind man. He will be missed.
Sad news-I remember seeing his work in tech articles in one of the car mags-he was talented and knew how to get a fat car sitting right . Prayers for his family RIP Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I did not know him and now... I never shall. I still have time to know you and I am truly sorry for the loss you feel. May you take solace from your friends here.
RIP Van,..he was a good friend when he lived back in Illinois, we went to a lot of the same hot rod shows/swaps...did some artwork for him for his Fat Fendered shop,..always had nice cars, his red 37 Ford sedan delivery was really nice... sympathy to all his family and friends.
Little late to the party here - I knew Van and Marlene through NSRA when he was an official in Illinois and then later when he moved to CA before he moved to AZ. Very good fabricator and there are tons of street rods with their rear axles centered in their wheel wells due to the lowering/centering blocks he marketed. Sorry to hear of his passing.
