I really enjoyed reading your thread, the history and your sons involvement is great. Keep up the great work.

Found this picture of us stopping for gas on our way home from cruise in taken many moons ago.
You gotta paint it yellow again. Right? DSCF2293.JPG

That pic there reminds me of the T coupe of Mercury Charlie in Austin TX.
Totally different colour and engine but just has some similarities.
Maybe it is just the wheels and stance.
Charlie's coupe is long gone to CA now and I heard was also being rebuilt by the new owner.
Stick with yellow it is iconic for the history and ownership of your coupe.
Keep up the good work, it will be worth it.

So working for a University I get a lot of time off at Christmas. I usually will put 10+ hours a day in the garage so I'm almost glad to be back to work. I did get a lot done and have the first coat of paint on the car. Photos of that later. I had been putting off cutting on these doors but it was next on the list. The passenger door had some damage on the inner top that I wanted straightened out. The oldest son also came in from school and peeked in the door long enough to grab this photo. :)

  6. Todd, I hope that your Wife peeks in on you as well, and brings you a sandwich every now and then! Lol I'll add a few photos I took when da Moose and I visited your Cool garage. The T is really looking great! Can't wait to see what color you chose. ;) RON.....

Well We had decided on red oxide for a color because my buddies were giving me shit about flat black. When my son saw the photos he asked "Do you like it?" Well, you know what that means....He hated it and didn't want to say. My wife said it looked like a "rolling turd!" so on to plan "B"

I took a break from paint and did a little wood work for a while to have it done before I painted again. Plus I found the correct rubber and went ahead and installed the rear glass. Probably should have waited till after paint but I was afraid I would fuck the paint up installing it.

Had MLK day off so I went over to the Machine shop where I used to work and they let me use a mill to make my new dash. Would like to have gone away from wood but hey, it's a mid to late 60's vibe so it fits well I think! Especially once I am done with it.

Man, I bought these about 12 years ago and can't remember. It was from a web site that sold street rod supplies. Should be able to find them. Sorry I'll try to find them again.

Obviously you look at photos but don't read. The car will be painted. Color not yet decided.

I think a faint pearl yellow would look cool.

Beautiful job! I was waiting to see your color choice. After all that labor of love she deserves a beautiful paint job. Awesome build!

Great work, deciding on color is the most stressful decision, yet in the end just do it what makes you smile when you think of it and that will be perfect.
