When is the Grand National Roadster Show, Mike? And how did you hear Tweety was in the show?

What a Milestone...its been an incredible journey. You fellas have to be overwhelmed with the outcome and deserve no less. I am sure there will be more to this thread but this is a high point that's for sure.

Hush was the word. Kieth, Jeff, and Rudy did such a awesome resurrection of Tweety. Shorty did the body and paint free of charge. That bird is bad to the bone. Rex Rod and Chassis we are forever in your debt for this pure heart gift!! Jim is a true icon of Hot Rod History.

The owner of the show gave us a hour more after they shut down building #4. This is what they will see for the first time tomorrow. Love this California weather!

This car made an indelible impression on my young brain when it first appeared on the "little book" Rodding and Restyling cover so many years ago. I was paying for my car magazine addiction by picking up soda bottles on the side of the road and cashing them in for 2 cents each. I'd lurk around the magazine rack in the dim corner of Kennebeck Fruit Co. 1-isle store after school every Tuesday to see what new magazines had arrived and which ones my meager budget could afford. Tweetie was burned into my brain, and certainly the brains of many other long-time rodders who are my age and older. It was magnificent then, and is magnificent once again today. It would only be fitting that such an icon would be given the highest honor a roadster can win. It sure gets this old man's vote!

What a kool thread congrats on getting the roadster to the show. I really enjoyed the Rodder's Journal video interview. If you hadn't seen it yet its worth the time.

To my eye, these two pics prove that the classic lines of a channeled, full-fendered hot rod deuce roadster are about as right as it gets.
    Beauty.
