Unfortunately I couldn't connect the fellas name to any more history...but although it was upgraded in the engine and some other departments that old vintage Hotrod is still shining through.

If I were president, I’d ban any future manufacture of torq thrust II wheels. They are on every car you see. It’s over, people. Please...stop with the torq thrust II wheels. People think they can buy a 88 Buick le Sabre, put torq thrust wheels on it...” hey I built a hot rod”

...feel better now...:D I'm not sure if there's an abundance of them here so you may have found a place of salvation. I'm actually not so much a fan of Mags but if they are truly period like on the Chevy Coupe earlier they are period correct for the time...

The white 32 above looks to have had newer mags slapped on but I look beyond that as most of the old hasn't been f'd with.

I believe that “T” with the blue wheels belongs to Lurk king. He hasn’t been back since Feb of 2015.

....thought up by a starry eyed 14 year old in 1949....his AMBR winning proportions were laid out by 1951. The culmination in 1955. 119" wheelbase, highly modified ex T coupe....hints of something that might belong at Bonneville. 20190130_105457.jpg

Love it...always welcome here, stand alone unique and pretty low and slinky for the time...what I like to call a trendsetter of sorts.

Hope your having the time of your life driving it around as well...
It looks just as well as the day you finished it...;)

Vintage Jag the story goes...the wheels may be as well. The frame is quite unusual as well...the rubber is indicative of the early sixties...

  26. love the front nerf bar........I think because it ties in perfect with the trim on the grill, lights and windshield.

This Hotrod was built by someone who knew their stuff...and had a eye for detail...sadly they never achieved the goal...another interesting thing is many of the comments at the link are by I believe Hambers...by their handles/screenames.

  28. The headlights are VW bug, and the front suspension is Jag, the wheels too I would say.

By the time this Rod was being built these options were readily available to adapt many times like a glove...this thing has what looks to be some race and euro inspired chassis building...that said there is no dispute where this Builders mind was leaning...I am surprised no one remembers it as it could have easily graced the little pages...it would have been nice to see the interior as well.
