That car hits all the right notes! If only there were more Model A's finished out like this these days...

  3. This is, IMO, the nicest car that you've featured, Joey. I like it, a lot. Of course, I have a prejudice for fendered, low Model As.

@RiffRaffRoadster gleaning material......This is your Hotrods era...Different years and a stock frame but as a fendered car they are visually similar and share many features.

@J.Ukrop a beauty of a Hotrod and the other featured ride hits the notes in harmony as well...I can understand the smile...thanks for sharing.

  7. Look at the twisted chrome wrought iron hood stays. That's pure 1965, or so. When the hot rodders got into the chopper fad. I remember a bunch of 1%ers around Roth's shop on Slauson, in Maywood, back then. I love how fads and ideas can be spotted in old photos. This is a bitchen feature, Mr Urkrop.

@J.Ukrop you know he’s got a set of gold 5 spokes and thin whites for it too right? I got about half way threw the photos and said “I gotta tag joe in these!” Then you did

  9. I had a Cordovan brown 1929 roadster in the sixties.

Mine had a history in multiple versions. This was version 3. One was a 327 Tudor sedan, two a 401 nailhead powered A/SR, three back to 327 street drivable glass bodied roadster, four a 327/350 (now) black closed cab pickup.

Since I'm a speedometer and electrical rebuilder my attention is always drawn to these components, so in the under car picture is that a coat hanger in the adjusting ear of the generator holding it up?
It is a great looking A.

  14. Model A roasters rule.
Joey, remember Joe showing up at the HAMB drags with an oddball rear fender where he'd blown a slick on the way there? Great story!

I sold this one a couple years ago. One of those, "I wish I never sold it" cars. Just missing the 1/4 walls.
