My question is what are they called and where can you get new or similar. Or has anybody done something different to reattach when this fastener was used.

Yea that’s what it was intended to say. I’m not sure if a nyloc would work

I tried editing title but no luck. Maybe with stupid title more will look and either give good info or will remind me of proof reading before submitting.

Fantastic and thanks Moriarity. I’ll give them a call once I remove one and get size.

  9. Don't those have a shoulder so the part can still rotate after being riveted?
In the past I have ground off the riveted end, punched them out. Then reused them and welded the end back. But if they are worn badly that won't work. Let us know what you find.

I called Hansen rivet and they do carry semi tubular shoulder rivets. I’ll remove one and see if they have in stock on Monday and post update. And as far as lathe no I don’t and yes I would entertain if the right one would fall my way. Don’t need very often. Space would be issue also.

  16. You can find the tabular rivets at the bigger Ace Hardware stores with all the nuts & bolts/specialty. HRP

Why disassemble the reg? I think you could easily measure the parts for reproduction purposes.
