Personally, I'd ad appropiate trim rings. Like the new look though. Bill

I didn't know Oklahoma was so humid. The fog is bad down there.

I like them both, and changing them up at will would be fun.

Big improvement! I too would like to see a trim ring. Maybe photoshopped in so you don't have to mar the rim?

I was heavily influenced by Rod & Custom in the later '60's, and especially the Early Times club. And Barry Lobeck and the Ohio look. So I'm a big fan of Halibrand's and 5-spokes. So I like the before version. Maybe if those steelies were orange. Not Hemi orange, but burnt orange. No disrespect intended, really like your car.

I thought "what was wrong with the blingies?" until I saw the steelies. Wow. Much more sinister look.

Looks good but finish it off with trim rings. Contrasting colour for the wheels perhaps later. If it's that foggy in the shop I can't imagine what it would be outside! I would sure invest in some fog lights though.

Love the steelies, less time polishing more time on the road.

I'll venture a guess that had those shiny wheels been Halibrands they would still be on the car.
I too was heavily influenced by Barry Lobecks' build style.

I too would have approved of the blingy wheels IF they were Halibrands BUT they are NOT. Therefore I'll favor the steelies but would prefer them with trim rings.

I like it much better with the new "old" look. How about a pin stripe around the rims instead of trim rings?
