  12. heres probably the cleanest one I have put together- for a 1981 cutlass I had. It was an L82 vette 350, summit 1102 cam and lifter set, edelbrock performer intake, street demon 625 carb, 305 heads that I ported and polished and gasket matched, and a retro tri- air cleaner with finned valve covers. cutty motor.jpg

    @roadster1923 - is this one of your projects? Looks to be a well grafted subframe on a Chevy tophat frame if I’m not mistaken, but I’m mainly curious which headers those are and how they fit. Think they would have enough clearance if it was still the original frame? I’ve got a 39 Chevy and am looking for ideas for headers. Thanks.

    Yes, that is my 37 Chevy coupe project and it is a 1969 Nova sub-frame graft to the original frame. I reinforced the sheetmetal bottom cover with 1/8th inch plate steel. The headers are Patriot Clipster headers and they seem to have plenty of clearance. If you need close-up pictures or measurements send me a P/M. Thanks for the kind remarks!
