  5. just watching through the H.A.M.B., my earphones on and listening to the Statler Bros, as you can see, there appears a sharp custom on the youtube video. Maybe someone has some information about it.

That sharp custom is Jack Steward's famous, Valley Custom-built "Polynesian" '50 Olds.
Still around. (I came unglued upon seeing it on the East Coast, at TRJ show in 2014.)

  12. ^^ What a weird concentration of bad ideas, all in one poor Chevy. I wish I hadn't seen it.

  13. I am going to guess the body was grafted onto the lower part of some late model chassis that retained the lower part of the donor cars body work....poorly.

    Twice as Krazy...
With all of its chrome, the "Ala Kart" won AMBR on tin foil covered jack stands...

...and vied again decades later, again on tin foiled jackstands!

  15. Yeah I always like those but the full booth display is over the top. I can't imagine trying it now with the tissue paper like tinfoil these days. If some sneezed by the display it would rip.

  16. The Ala Kart was the AMBR winner in 1958 and 1959. It's the only vehicle to win that award in back to back years.

I am still thinking that it needs something below the headlights and in line with the grille.
We moved the parking lights into the fitting in the headlights but maybe a nice round parking light with a chrome bezel. Also some more pinstriping across the front especially on the molded section between the hood opening and the grille.Always a work in progress.

Go to the classifieds in the Antiquated, Should be on the 2nd page for a listing by @Brigrat A book called Hot Rodder, from the lakes to the streets. by Albert Drake. Click on it and it shows a pic of the car with it`s owners name and what they called the car. I can`t make it out. The first pic I`ve seen of the car. Makes me wanna buy the book. But haven`t.
