Behind a pile of motors, in between some Buicks, and under some tin, Model A find....

It's really hard not to stand on it and really run the hill. But then it's also quite hard having to explain how you crashed the Cabriolet into a boulder or off a cliff... I tried to find a balance between the two. It's a really fun road and a few places are just perfect for pitching the car around. What's super cool is that the park is just a few minutes south of downtown Phoenix.

Here's a couple more videos from the cruise...

The Cabriolet has a cool stretch of this video at about the three minute mark..

Here's a cool video a buddy put together from an event we ran with the car a couple weeks ago. Check it out!

And here's the best I've got as far as "in car" footage. Video quality sucks, audio quality kinda awesome....

Did the No Fly Zone Arizona event again and after a few hiccups we attained a new personal best of 106.7869mph.

  13. Any idea what your rear gear ratio is? Maybe its not as fast as you had hoped but I'm sure nobody else out there is having as much fun as you are!

No idea on the rear ratio. I've not taken the time to figure it out yet. I would imagine it's got 4.11's. I think it'll be a bit faster if I can get the transmission to shift better at speed. There's an unspoken rule/rumor that I have to break this '39 trans before I can put a LaSalle in it. Which brings me back to the gear ratio... if I'm gonna swap transmissions then maybe I can sneak a quick change in at the same time.

A few more shots from the No Fly Zone event turned up today. We're doing our annual Thanksgiving morning cruise in a couple weeks and I'll update with some pics and video of that in a couple weeks.

Love the mix and match going on
Early 303 block with 324 pistons and heads with 371 intake manifold
None of which are a bolt on without careful machining and attention to detail
Be interesting to know how much meat is left in the cylinder walls after the .125 overbore

That's all I've got for now. I'm working on a few projects at once and need to catch up on this one. I'll pull the sonic tester out and check a couple holes and I need to calculate compression ratio because we are planning on bumping that up some. Cam is getting sent out for a little more bumpy too. I know of few of you guys have been following this and I'm sure you're used to my spastic and sporadic form of updating... as always, more details as I come up with them.
