I would like to see red oxide primer applied to just the rim (not including the wheel center) of the front wheel. Then another shot with the above plus the center of the wheel center making it look sorta like a target which I don't think I am going to like but I'd like to see it. Thank You new wheels.jpg

Hey fellas, it's been a long time since I've been in this thread. Man, you guys really have incredible skill.

I have a request, if y'all would be so kind. I'm having a hard time picturing what this color might have been, so I'll leave it up to the pros, what do you think would have looked best?

The reason I am posting this up is that for a long time I considered doing my 60s era coupe build with black fender just because of this car. I'm just not creative enough to picture what could be.

So, if you guys wouldn't mind, could you give this car your treatment and colorize it to a color you think would look good? I'd be grateful.

    Thanks so much,

    Brent

Wish it was closer and the 55 was cheap, I like what I see of it.

I'm submitting this request on behalf of choptop40, who is in the early stages of building this '51 Chrysler custom.

    His modification list includes:
    - Some dechroming
    - Plum Crazy Flatz paint
    - '54 Chrysler or '50 Olds headlights
    - Custom taillights (maybe in the bumper?) - Nosed
    - Decked
    - Louvered (hood, I assume)

The stock grille won't work with either headlight choice. I'd suggest using the '54 Chrysler headlights AND grille, but remove the clutter in the central opening to create a gaping maw. I hope that makes sense! I've included stock and modified versions for reference.

The original Chrysler bumpers are a bit clunky, in my humble opinion. I would recommend a set of '53 Ford bumpers. The taillights could be incorporated into the stock ford rear bumper guards. No guards on the front, please.

I'm also going to suggest my go-to favorite '56 Lincoln wheelcovers on body-color wheels with medium-wide whites.

    I can't wait to see the results, myself! tapatalk_1547688969590.jpeg tapatalk_1547688976514.jpeg tapatalk_1547688981596.jpeg tapatalk_1547688986465.jpeg 31Yc7QjSROL.jpeg Screenshot_20190116-195837_Chrome.jpeg 20190116_201452.jpeg

If it were on a 32 frame I would leave it be. I'm just not in love with A frame rails.

Oooooooh, nice! Thanks for that, Moose!

One more favor: Can you add this skirt? I don't know how they're supposed to fit, but I found this Plymouth with skirts. Hopefully the family relationship makes it accurate for the Chrysler. tapatalk_1547837835055.jpeg Screenshot_20190118-130059_Chrome.jpeg

Agreed! Thanks again, Moose! For some reason, it makes me think of the Polynesian.

8CF4AD2D-4801-4907-B817-BB0FE3528190.jpeg Want to change it up this year but just cant picture 1 inch whites up front with either the steel rim or a set of vintage Torque thrusts. Anyone want to take a shot at it ? Going for the old S/S look
