Projects Time to put together a survivor 32

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by yankee mike, Jan 9, 2019.

  1. I'm kinda on the fence with engine choice. I have a good running flathead to use BUT I also have a old chromed out 53 caddy 331 engine that came out of a 32 3wd that was in hot rod magazine in the late 50s. I haven't decided. Whatever is quicker. I'm giving myself 6 months to do it. That way I can have a toy to drive for the summer and I can finish up my 3 wd

  4. LOL its Brown.

I think the idea od cad power is rad. You see lots of different power plants olds, buick, MOPAR but almost never a caddy power plant.

I was convinced it was in red oxide based on the first pics and then he tosses in some polished shots and it was "Oh crap! That's paint!";)

Very cool to find one like this and survivors are my fave. Tagging along for the ride!

  11. Pulled it out this week and cleaned out all the dead mice, mud daubers, and remaining bits of upholstery. Only the driver door and trunk lid have paint flaking. I guess those areas weren't prepped properly

Don't I remember you having a set special set of heads tucked away somewhere? They'd dress out a flattie survivor for sure.
